Berlin – There are rather curious days of honor in this world: the day of sweatpants, the world knot day or the cookie monster day. International Friendship Day has a more serious background. It is celebrated annually on July 30th, as decided by the UN General Assembly in 2011. With this day, the United Nations wants to remind people of the importance of good relationships between countries and cultures. And also personal friendships between people.
