A woman named Karen Troy (25) from Massachusetts, USA, was happy to know that she was pregnant in January 2021. In March 2021, doctors gave a shocking news to Karen Troy.
It has been reported that Karen’s uterus is heart-shaped and twins are developing in them.
Only one in a thousand people have a heart-shaped uterus, and only one in 500 million people have twins who have this heart-shaped uterus.
Feeling emotional
More worrying than the fact that I had a heart-shaped uterus was that I was developing twins. First I just made sure the kids were okay.
The doctors took special care of me as it was a risky pregnancy, I was fine for the first 34 weeks, but I developed pre-eclampsia and the babies were surgically removed.
Through this both Rayan and Raelyn were born on 5th September 2021. The babies were kept in the NICU for about 27 days to prevent feeding and suffocation.
Karin said that at first I felt emotional seeing the children when they were small, and then I was a little afraid of the small children.
But now the twins are 16 months old and both are fine, he said.
