Two French studies on the pandemic and the post-Covid period appear on Tuesday, with fairly similar conclusions.

The Covid pandemic has had a strong impact on people’s mental health, and children are no exception. But to what extent are young French people concerned? This is the question to which two studies appearing on Tuesday set out to answer, one in the publications of the Department of Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics (Dress), the other in the Weekly epidemiological bulletin from Public Health France (SPF).

The first study was conducted as part of the EpiCov survey conducted by Inserm and Dress between March 2020 and July 2021, that is to say in the midst of the Covid pandemic. It is based on the questioning of some 20,000 parents or guardians of children aged 3 to 17, who were asked what they perceived of the morale of their offspring.
