One killed in Spain church stabbing attack

People pray at a church in Spain’s southern port city of Algeciras.

Then a mysterious person entered the church with a knife. He attacked those who were praying there with a knife.

This caused the public to run away screaming. The man then entered a nearby church and stabbed people there. One person died in this stabbing attack. Many, including priests, were injured.

On getting the information, the police rushed to the spot and arrested the man who had committed the stabbing attack. The injured were rescued and admitted to the hospital.

The police have released a video of the suspect being arrested and taken away. But the police did not release the details of his name and nationality.

Meanwhile, local media reported that the attacker was a 25-year-old Moroccan national. The victim of the attack was identified as Diego Valencia, who worked at the Tila Palma church.

The injured priest, Antonia Rodriguez, is reported to be in critical condition.

Regarding the attack, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said on his Twitter page, “My condolences to the victims of the terrible attack.”

The police have said that they suspect that this attack may have a terrorist connection. It has been reported that this is being investigated as a terrorist incident.
