Dubai ∙ Mehsoos is the first lucky winner of this year to win more than 22 crore rupees (10 million dirhams) in one night. Arlin, a sales promoter from Abu Dhabi, who is a native of the Philippines, became the first woman to win crores in the Mehsoos draw held last Saturday night.

Numbers associated with family bring good luck
Arlene, 40, who has lived in Abu Dhabi for 12 years, is the second Filipino expatriate to become an overnight millionaire this year. In late January, Filipino expatriate and store manager Russell Reyes Tuazon, 34, won Dh15 million in another raffle draw. Five Filipinos, including Arlin, have become multi-millionaires since the launch of the Mehsoos draw in 2021.
Arlene won the 117th Super Saturday draw. Five numbers 9, 10, 13, 28 and 29 were chosen by Arlin’s husband. Arlene said that Eve numbers are very important because they relate to her family and personal opportunities. Arlene found her fortune in the midst of financial hardship. I have not been able to sleep for two days after my husband told me about the e-mail sent by the Mehsoos officials announcing that he had won the lottery.
