One of the industrial zones in Azerbaijan can be organized on the basis of “green” energy.
As Day.Az reports on Thursday with reference to Trend, Acting Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikail Jabbarov said this during the forum “Tax system in a new period of development: strategic goals for a sustainable economy”, held in Baku.
According to him, fiscal and tax regulation is a tool that ensures the transition to a green economy.
“A number of large countries have developed and adopted laws providing for the levy of an additional hydrocarbon tax on the import of products. This process will gradually cover more and more countries. Thus, products produced in Azerbaijan and exported will be subject to additional taxation. Therefore, if we want to maintain competitiveness of domestic enterprises, it is necessary to discuss these regulatory instruments in a timely manner. At the initial stage, one of the industrial zones can be organized on the basis of “green” energy,” he noted.
