One of the senior members of the criminal organizations in Israel was detained this evening (Thursday) for questioning at the Yahabal offices upon his landing in Israel on suspicion of his involvement in several shooting incidents at the home of a Tel Aviv resident several months ago.
Yesterday, the national unit for serious and international crime investigations arrested another suspect, a 57-year-old businessman from the central region. Attorney Shai Shurer representing the businessman said: “My client is shocked by the arrest, he has nothing to do with anything and I want to believe that at the end of the investigation by the investigating unit he will be released.”
In recent months, the unit has conducted an undercover investigation following several shooting incidents at the home of a Tel Aviv resident several months ago. The investigation of the case revealed that the background to the events was due to a financial dispute. During the investigation, evidence was gathered that led to the arrest of two suspects last week, young men in their 20s from Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan, who were brought to the Yahabal offices for questioning and at the end of which their detention was extended at the Peace Court in Israel until yesterday. The police stated that the investigation of the case continues.
