In the last few hours, it was announced that one of the women who was hacked to death by a former inmate in Suferry, Ciego de Ávila, last week, has died.

The case corresponds to the violent incident that occurred in the aforementioned town where Félix Morales, a 70-year-old Cuban man, was murdered at the hands of his son-in-law, named Richard Sánchez Ferrarles, who in the same incident attacked the deceased’s daughter and another neighbor with a machete.

Now Richard also became the murderer of Felix’s daughter, who was in intensive care.

The information was released by Cuban journalist Niover Licea, who indicated that this woman was beaten by Richard in the violent incident that took place in Ciego de Ávila a few days ago.

“Today, the daughter of Felix Morales, who was the romantic partner of this individual, who was also accused of abuse and who was unfortunately released by the authorities, leaving this woman in intensive care, unfortunately passed away today. This man now has two dead,” Niover added.

He also said that the other woman who was injured in this incident is in serious condition.

“Although, according to what I was told, her arm was re-attached after many surgeries, this young woman is still in very poor condition,” he added.

This is evidence of how violence once again claims another life on the communist island, where impunity is the order of the day, as the authorities do nothing, especially when it comes to deaths due to gender violence.
