It was around 01:30 last Thursday that the police were alerted to a powerful explosion in Hässelby in western Stockholm. The detonation destroyed large parts of the facade of a terraced house and damaged three more homes. The residents of the damaged townhouses have had to leave their homes.
SVT has previously reported that six people were arrested on Thursday evening. The police did not want to comment on whether the people were previously known to the police, or what exactly they are suspected of.
According to prosecutor Alexandra Bittner, the other five have been set free:
– There was no reason to keep them in custody, but everyone is still a suspect. They are suspected of complicity in this. I can’t say much more as I don’t want to influence the investigation.
The prosecutor does not want to comment on the decision to make the detained person confidential.
Relatives of rappers
According to information to SVT, relatives of a well-known rapper live at the address. The rapper has previous connections to criminal networks and has openly shown support for the criminal leader “Kurdish fox”.
An adult was taken to hospital after the explosion, but the injuries were not considered life-threatening at an early stage. The incident is being investigated as attempted murder and wanton destruction.
Charges must be filed by the end of March at the latest.
