Thiruvananthapuram: A person has been put under observation in Kannur due to monkeypox symptoms. The test result of him who arrived at Kannur airport from abroad will be available within three days. The health department has also introduced extensive testing systems to check whether people are arriving from abroad with monkeypox symptoms. A special counter has been set up at the Kannur airport.

Airport staff have also been instructed to follow special safety precautions. The central team that came to Kerala to assess the situation will visit Kollam, the hometown of the infected person. Health Department with training programme

The Health Department is also organizing an extensive training program on monkeypox prevention. A training program was organized for more than 1200 government and private sector doctors. Training is also being organized for the employees of the local institutions with the cooperation of the health department. There will be training and doubt clearing on Monday, July 18 from 11 am to 12 pm.
