Chennai: The Villupuram Transport Corporation has ordered the Assistant Managers to charge Rs 1 per person for the Ayudha Puja.
In this regard, the circular sent by Villupuram Transport Corporation Managing Director Joseph Dias to Branch Managers, Assistant Managers etc.:
Ayudha Puja will be celebrated on Tuesday, 4th of next month. As it is a holiday, on the 3rd, Monday, at 4:00 p.m., arrangements should be made to celebrate Ayudha Puja in a special manner. For this expenses, employees of all branches, divisions, central workshop, head office staff etc. should be charged Rs. 1 each. If the staff is less, 50 rupees should be caught. For this, the branch managers should take direct responsibility and keep the petty cash in the account and hand over the account after the ceremony.
