OnePlus 11 5G leak reveals ceramic body, RAM details, and more

by time news
  • The back surface of the OnePlus 11 device tends to be made of ceramic material.
  • The phone can be shipped with 16 GB of RAM.
  • OnePlus has already confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip will power the phone.

A leak related to the OnePlus 11 5G suggested that it will use ceramic material on its back surface instead of glass or plastic. This isn’t the first time the company has used these materials; The OnePlus X from 2015 had a limited edition ceramic one that was sold across Europe and India. While this made the phone a bit heavier, the use of ceramic gives it a unique and premium look and feel.

Tipster Chinese Digital Chat Station (via GSM circuit) said that the upcoming OnePlus 11 5G will offer high-quality build and top-notch performance. This would apparently require the use of a metal frame between the screen and the ceramic back. It should also be noted that the other party has only referred to the phone as OnePlus 11, without using the Pro branding that the top model gets every year.

Digital Chat Station said that the OnePlus 11 will ship with up to 16GB of RAM. What’s more, UFS 4.0 storage can also appear on its spec sheet, providing ultra-fast transfer speeds. The same tipster previously said that the device will have a 2K display carrying a QHD+ resolution of 3,216 x 1,440 pixels. The AMOLED panel is expected to have a refresh rate of 120Hz.

As for the processor, the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is sure to make its way inside the phone. In fact, OnePlus said that the new flagship will be the first to come with the aforementioned SoC at its heart. Qualcomm’s new offering features a 35-percent faster CPU, 25-percent faster GPU, and up to 435-percent AI improvement.

On the camera front, the OnePlus 11 is expected to offer a 50MP primary camera and a 48MP wide camera. The phone can also carry a 32MP telephoto shooter to offer optical zoom. These cameras will most likely get the Hasselblad brand.
