Ahead of the global launch, OnePlus today announced the OnePlus 11 in China. The new model comes, as expected, with fairly advanced specifications that include Qualcomm’s new chipset alongside an improved camera setup

The new flagship is based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the same chipset that has already been announced on several devices such as the Xiaomi 13 and Moto X40. It will be offered in two models with LPDDR5X working memory of 12 or 16 gigabytes and internal storage of 256 or 512 gigabytes of UFS 4.0 type. The company also emphasized that the processor will be delivered at full performance, this after past claims about limitations it applied to save battery life.

The screen is 6.7 inches AMOLED type with LTPO 3.0 technology with a resolution of 2K 1440p. It is of the type to operate at a refresh rate that changes automatically depending on the content, in the range of 1 to 120 Hz, with the company saying that over 100 applications support changing while in use.

The photography setup of the OnePlus 11, which has also been leaked on several occasions, is based on Sony sensors and Hasselblad lenses, arranged in the form of a round bump on the back. The main camera comes with a 50-megapixel sensor (IMX890) combined with optical image stabilization (OIS). The other camera is 48 megapixels with an ultra-wide lens (IMX581), which can also be used as macro cameras. The third camera is 32 megapixels (IMX709) with a telephoto lens and 2x zoom.

Because of this, OnePlus 11 is able to charge the 5,000 mAh battery at a very fast rate of about 30 minutes. It comes with a 100 watt charger, but there is still no sign of wireless charging. It is based on the Android 13 system while the Chinese version has the Color OS 13 interface.

The prices in China will start at a price equal to about 580 dollars (2,000 shekels) and we will expect up to 640 and 700 dollars for the large storage volumes. It will come in black or green colors with the launch already planned for January 9. Details on the global version will be revealed next month.
