OnePlus Ace 2 Pro works, nothing exciting!

by time news

OnePlus Ace 2, which is basically the OnePlus 11R, was launched on February 7th in China. And as you can imagine, the device sits below OnePlus’ current flagship, the OnePlus 11. However, OnePlus seems unhappy with the current 11 lineup. Currently working on OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, which could debut soon!

So how does OnePlus plan to position the Ace 2 Pro 5G? Well, as the name suggests, it will apparently be on top of the regular Ace 2 5G. However, we just had a leak in the spec sheet. And the leak indicates that the phone is not “professional”. Instead, it is reduced!

OnePlus Ace 2 Pro specifications have leaked

According to Digital Chat Station, the trusted leakster, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will come with the model number PHP110. And the student suggests that the phone will have the same screen as the regular Ace 2 5G. That is, it will have the same 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a hole-punch at the top center.

In other words, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro’s screen will not see an upgrade. However, the leak indicates that the screen will not be curved like the regular model. Instead, the screen will be flat, which is something OnePlus fans will really love.

Other than that, OnePlus will pack the Ace 2 Pro with Dimensity 9000 SoC. And when it comes to RAM options, you’ll be able to pair the SoC with up to 16GB of RAM.

Besides, the phone will have a powerful 5000 mAh battery, and it will support 100W fast charging out of the box. Also, the primary camera on the back will be the OmniVision OV64M. It is a 64MP sensor and has an f/1.79 aperture. There will also be an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera sensor and a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M macro camera.

forefront? The specs say otherwise!

So, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro spec sheet is not as promising as expected. Considering the fact that it has “Pro” in its name, we wanted to see it come with at least the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Now, if you haven’t caught up, the OnePlus Ace 2 ships with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It’s a last-gen CPU, and the Pro certainly should have had an upgrade in that regard.

However, it is not like the Dimensity 9000 SoC that will not perform well. It will! But the main thing is that the SoC can’t even catch up with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor in benchmarks. So, to see such a poor chip in the “Pro” version is really disappointing.

But the SOC is not the only thing. The camera setup is poor too! Looking back, OnePlus Ace 2 came with a 50MP IMX980 primary camera. This is much better than the OmniVision OV64M that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro may come with. At least, the differences will be very noticeable.

Nomenclature aside, if OnePlus prices the Ace 2 Pro accordingly, it could be a good device to buy. That is, if we are talking about the international market, of course. Maybe as a nord device?

On that note, OnePlus also plans to release the Ace 2 Racing Edition. And although the name sounds fancy, it comes with the Dimensity 8200 SoC. Apparently, the Racing version can be launched as Nord 3 in the global market.

But remember, nothing has been confirmed yet. So, take all this information with a grain of salt. With that said, let us know what you think of the Ace 2 Pro. Would you buy it if it launched globally?
