OnePlus launched the Ace 2 in China, the successor to the OnePlus Ace model in the mid-range device category. In terms of specifications, it actually resembles the Ace Pro, although its starting price is of course lower. It is expected to arrive in the West as the OnePlus 11R.

Compared to its predecessors, the Ace 2 comes in a completely new design with a unique look for the rear camera setup. The screen is a 6.74-inch AMOLED type, with a resolution of 2772X1240 pixels, and a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset is responsible for the performance, with up to 16 gigabytes of working memory and 512 gigabytes for file storage. One Plus claims a breakthrough evaporation and cooling chamber that took the company two years to develop, and is twice as effective as liquid cooling systems of a similar size.

The company also claims 12 antennas with “gaming performance” for a particularly fast and stable connection to the network, as well as a software-based system for precise adjustment of the refresh rate and display to the game itself. The photography system includes a main camera with a 50 megapixel Sony sensor, a wide focus camera with an 8 megapixel sensor, and a macro camera. In front, the device is equipped with a single camera with a 16-megapixel sensor.

The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, with support for fast charging with a power of up to 100 watts. More in the specifications: a pair of speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a fingerprint scanner built into the display, and the Android 13 operating system with the ColorOS 13 interface, while in the West it will be launched with OxygenOS 13.

The Ace 2 (or 11R) will be sold in China in black and white colors, at a price starting at 412 dollars for a model with 12 gigabytes of memory and 256 gigabytes for storing files. The more equipped model with 16 gigabytes of memory and 512 gigabytes has a price of about 515 dollars. It will be possible to purchase the device in China starting next week.
