OnePlus announced the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE2 earlier this week, and accordingly the OnePlus Nord CE2 5G smartphone was launched in India on February 17th. It was launched in June 2021 as the successor to the company’s OnePlus Nord CE 5G smartphone. The latest mid-range smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker is equipped with the MediaTek Dimension 900 SoC. The new phone comes with the same sub-Rs. It also comes with a new design, with a starting price tag of 25,000 and some improved specifications. The OnePlus Nord CE2 comes with a 5G connectivity and the starting price for the 6GB ROM variant is Rs 23,999. Meanwhile, according to the company’s official website, the 8GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 24,999.

Both the Nord CE and Nord CE 2 feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD + display panel. But the North CE2 Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and HDR 10+ are certified. Both phones have a 90 Hz upgrade rate.

The Nord CE2 brings a new design to the back of the phone and it looks significantly different from the original Nord CE. The Nord CE 2 is slightly heavier at 173G compared to the 170G. However, OnePlus claims that the Nord CE2’s thinner phone is 7.8mm thick compared to the 7.9mm in the previous version. The OnePlus Nord continues with the CE2 headphone jack, which was also on the previous iteration.
While the Nord CE is available in three colors (Blu White, Charcoal Ink, Silver Ray), the new Nord CE 2 is available in two colors (Gray Mirror, Bahama Blue).

The new OnePlus Nord CE2 5G smartphone supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, while the older handset supports dual band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. However, the OnePlus Nord CE2 5G supports 65 watt Super Wook fast charging, while the OnePlus Nord CE 5G charging is slower at 30 watts.
