OnePlus has expanded its mid-range smartphone lineup with the Nord CE 5, a new device boasting an impressive 7100 mAh battery and a surprisingly affordable price point of approximately $118. The Nord CE 5 aims to deliver exceptional battery life and solid performance without breaking the bank.
Powerhouse Battery Life Takes Center Stage
The standout feature of the OnePlus Nord CE 5 is undoubtedly its massive 7100 mAh battery. According to the manufacturer, this allows for over 27 hours of video playback or 9 hours of continuous gaming on a single charge. This positions the Nord CE 5 as a compelling option for users prioritizing extended usage between charges.
To minimize downtime, the device also supports 80-watt Supervooc cable quick charging. Furthermore, the phone incorporates Bypass Charging, a feature that allows the device to draw power directly from the charger while in use, preventing battery drain during gameplay.
Display and Performance Specifications
The Nord CE 5 features a 6.77-inch Full HD+ resolution 120 Hz AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1430 nits. An optical fingerprint reader is integrated into the screen for biometric authentication.
Powering the device is the Dimensity 8350 chipset, paired with either 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options include 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, with the latter being expandable.
Camera System and Design Options
On the rear of the OnePlus Nord CE 5, a 50-megapixel optically stabilized Sony Lyt-600 sensor serves as the primary camera, accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The front-facing camera boasts a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies. Notably, the Nord CE 5 incorporates advanced image processing algorithms previously found in the OnePlus 13 series, enabling features like RAW HDR and Real Tone for enhanced photo quality.
The device is available in three color options: black, marble, and blue. Sales have already commenced, with the 8GB/128GB configuration priced at €299, which translates to roughly $118,000 at current exchange rates.
