LGBT propaganda is proposed to be included in the list of grounds for blocking online resources by Roskomnadzor, follows from the text of the appeal of the general director of the Internet Video Association (which unites the largest online cinemas – Ivi, Start, Okko, etc.) Alexei Byrdin to the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Technologies Alexander Khinshtein and Pavel Krasheninnikov, head of the Committee on State Building and Legislation. The Association proposes to supplement the law “On information, information technologies and information protection” with a paragraph on “materials promoting non-traditional sexual relations and (or) preferences.”
Vedomosti got acquainted with a copy of the letter, Byrdin confirmed its authenticity. Khinshtein confirmed to Vedomosti that such an amendment had been received by his committee. According to him, even before the receipt of the appeal, he introduced the same amendment to the bill. Krasheninnikov did not respond to Vedomosti’s request.
