Only the continuation of military pressure will allow the release of all hostages held in the Gaza Strip, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today, quoted by world agencies.

Netanyahu made the announcement after a midnight operation in Rafah, in the southern Palestinian enclave, in which two Israeli hostages were freed.

“Only if military pressure continues to complete victory will it also lead to the release of our hostages. We will not miss a single opportunity to bring them home,” the Israeli leader said in a statement. In it, he hailed the Israeli military, whom he called “our brave warriors” for their daring overnight operation that freed the two hostages.

Earlier today, AFP reported, citing the Hamas Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip, that around 100 Palestinians were killed in strikes during the operation.

According to Reuters, citing the same Palestinian ministry, at least 67 Palestinians were killed in the strikes.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today that since the beginning of the war, the victims in the enclave are already 28,340, and the wounded – 67,984, BTA cites.
