From Monday, November 29, 2021, two new corona vaccination routes will open in Vienna: In the Amalienbad in Vienna-Favoriten and in the Brigittenauer indoor pool in Vienna-Brigittenau, Covid vaccinations will be administered by appointment.

Since the City of Vienna has recently received larger quantities of the vaccine from Moderna, this corona vaccine is given preference at these two locations. The vaccine from Biontech / Pfizer is available for people under the age of 30, as well as for people who have received both the 1st and 2nd sting with Pfizer and want to keep the vaccination sequence complete.

1,980 corona vaccinations possible in indoor swimming pools in Vienna per day

A total of 1,980 people can be vaccinated per day at these two locations. The opening times are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Sunday.

“The willingness to vaccinate has risen sharply in the last few weeks, this has in particular to do with the demand for third stitches; but also with the significantly increased first stitches. In the districts of Favoriten and Brigittenau we have increased capacities in the last few days, especially at Reumannplatz ( Location: Columbus Center), but also in Millennium City. With the two new offers in the indoor pools, another low-threshold offer is to be created and I am sure that it will also be well received, “emphasizes City Councilor for Health Peter Hacker.
