Open VLD wants to thoroughly redraw national elections

Open VLD presents its members with a proposal that thoroughly redraws the national elections. That’s what the Mediahuis newspapers write today. The party wants to introduce a federal constituency so that all Belgians can vote for the same candidates. The largest party with the largest vote can then automatically become the formateur. “In this way we want to avoid months of impasses after the elections,” says Flemish figurehead Bart Somers.
