Open Water Swimming, Italy Scores Poker in Alghero

Two medals on the first day and two on the second. The Italian national team has won two silver medals and two bronze medals at the halfway point of the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming Junior World Championships, the open water youth world championships held in the body of water in front of Mugoni beach, in the Porto Conte Natural Park, in Alghero.

In the women’s 5km (14- and 15-year-olds at the start), Mahila Spennato reached the lowest step of the podium, 9″ behind the first place winner, the American Brinkleigh Hansen.
