jpnn.comJAKARTA – The music group GIGI displayed an Emergency Warning image when starting the GIGINFINITY concert at Istora Senayan, Jakarta on Saturday (24/8) evening.
Before GIGI started the show at 19.45 WIB, a picture of Garuda with a blue background and the words Emergency Warning was stretched out on the stage.
Not only the Emergency Warning, the Indonesian flag was also displayed on the left and right sides of the stage.
The song Bagimu Negeri was then played, followed immediately by mass singing by the audience.
The Emergency Warning is a form of protest against the planned revision of the 2024 Regional Election Law.
In the past few days, musicians and celebrities have been busy uploading Emergency Warnings on social media. People even took to the streets to demonstrate in front of the DPR Building on Thursday (22/8).
After the Emergency Warning was performed, GIGI personnel appeared to perform a number of opening songs including Sang Pemimpi, Bisa Saja, Perdamaian, and others.
