“On⁣ pre-holidays and public ‌holidays throughout the country, in agreement with the local executive authorities, the operating hours of⁤ retail and public catering facilities will be extended.​ It is planned to extend the operating hours of more than 250 retail ‌facilities and more than 280 public catering facilities,” said Natalya Melnikova,⁤ head of the department of trade organization and public catering of the Ministry‍ of Antimonopoly Trade and Regulation, reports BELT.

On the eve of the holidays, public catering establishments are accepting pre-orders and have developed holiday menus. Restaurants and cafes are accepting ⁣orders to cater for New Year and Christmas lights, corporate parties ‍and other⁤ festive events. The estimated cost of New Year’s events is Br50 to Br330 per person, depending on the⁣ format. According to a MART ​representative, on New Year’s Eve itself the cost may be slightly higher.

In the regions, plans were approved for trade organizational measures and consumer services for the population on pre-holidays and public⁤ holidays.⁤ “Currently, we ensure continuous availability of a wide range of items, including those that are in demand during this period. Work on the thematic design of ⁤shop windows ⁤of retail and public catering facilities, ⁢shopping and dining rooms, as well as adjacent territories and⁣ facades has been done since mid-November ‍and will be completed approximately ‌in the first ten days of December,” said Natalya Melnikova.
