If African music has long conquered the world, other cultural sectors are still lagging behind. But they are catching up at high speed. It is to promote sectors such as cinema, video games, TV series or even virtual reality that the forum Creation Africa presents in Paris some of the most emblematic projects of the moment. The aim is also, thanks to the support of Business France, the operator in charge of investments abroad, to connect creators and investors.

« Business France immediately suggested that we set up a platform for match-makinga bit like dating apps, explains Liz Gomis, Secretary General of the Forum. But this time from a professional point of view, to network African actors and French companies. So everyone fulfills their needs on the platform, but also their expertise. Then, the couples are formed. The idea being to have around two hundred meetings between Europeans and Africans over a full day. »

African cultural industries are at the heart of the African Union Agenda 2063. The potential for wealth and employment growth is enormous. In Europe alone, cultural industries generate 650 billion euros in revenue and support nearly 8 million people.
