For those who dream of attending the great moments of the Paris 2024 Olympics, the last opportunity to find tickets is about to begin. After the phase of buying tickets by “packs”, completed in mid-March and which aroused many criticisms, now opens the moment of the sale of single tickets.

Candidates for the purchase of single tickets and who have registered on the organization’s site can start monitoring their email. They are nearly 4 million waiting to find out if they will be among the lucky ones.

30 tickets maximum per person

Those who will be drawn will receive an email from May 9. This precious letter will set a time slot, no more than 48 hours, to buy the seats of their choice online, among those that will remain available. They will be able to purchase up to 30 tickets each (unless they have already purchased ticket packs in the previous phase).

For single purchase, “all sessions, including the biggest finals of the Olympics as well as the opening and closing ceremonies, will be on sale”specifies the president of the organizing committee, Tony Estanguet.

Prices that reach peaks

If all the events are on sale for those who have inherited the first purchase slots, from May 11, not everything will be accessible to all budgets. Prizes, which start at €24, have a tendency to spike for the best places and the most anticipated finals.

For the opening ceremony, which will take place on the Seine on July 26, 2024, it is planned that the crowd will be able to follow the nautical parade free of charge from the top of the quays. But to settle as close as possible to the Seine and the athletes’ parade, you will need to have purchased a place, the price of which varies from €90 to… €2,700.

For the highly coveted athletics finals too, the prices rise sharply. It will be necessary to pay between 125 € and 980 € per place to see live who will snatch the gold medal in the 100 m. For other sports with less media coverage, the fee schedule is still a little calmer. Prizes range from €100 to €420 for the equestrian show jumping final. They dive a little more for water polo, charged between €50 and €200.
