New Delhi: More and more people are seeking relief from war-torn Ukraine. The evacuation of Indians from Ukraine continues through the Central Government’s Operation Ganga. The second flight from Rumani arrived in Delhi this morning. A group of 29 Malayalees arrived today. They were received at the airport by Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and External Affairs Minister V Muraleedharan. They were later transferred to Kerala House.

Of these, Malayalees are sent to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. 16 people will go straight to Kochi from the airport. Travelers to Thiruvananthapuram will be able to leave Delhi in the evening. One of the returning Keralites lives in Delhi. The state government has arranged free travel for Malayalees. They will be flown to Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode airports. The flight from Hungary will arrive in Delhi at 9.30 am. There are 25 Malayalee students in it

The Central Government launched Operation Gum Gak yesterday to repatriate Indians stranded in Ukraine. The first group to arrive in India was a group of Malayalee students who had crossed the Romanian border from Ukraine. The first group of 219 people landed in Mumbai. There were 27 Malayalees in this group. The Mayor of Mumbai received the students. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said the mission would not stop until everyone was brought back.

The first group arrived at the airport in Bucharest, Romania at around 9.30 am Indian time. Food and water were provided by Indian Embassy officials. The first delegation was led by Romanian Ambassador Rahul Srivastava.

At the same time, in many parts of Ukraine, people, including Malayalees, are living in bunkers and metros. Complaints that many are not even getting food are widespread. The Indian embassy has been asked to rescue them as well.

The embassy has warned people to stay where they feel safe and not to cross the border without warning.
