The Ben Gurion Airport Division of the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption welcomed about 4,110 immigrants, including about 2,460 immigrants from Ukraine, from the outbreak of hostilities.
Over the next day, about 340 immigrants from Ukraine will land in Israel on two flights from Moldova. Meanwhile, 814 immigrants chose to stay in hotels rented for them by the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption in advance.
According to the decision of Defense Minister Bnei Gantz and Minister of Immigration and Absorption Pnina Temano Sheta, the Ben Gurion Airport Division of the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption will be reinforced with soldiers in the regular service and reservists who speak Russian and Ukrainian to assist in the selection and absorption procedures.
