Lia Lemonmayor of Alvaro Obregonlaunched the operation “We protect your return to school“in the demarcation under his charge in view of the start of the school cycle 2024-2025.
The mayor of Álvaro Obregón instructed the presence of police at the entrances and exits of educational establishments, as well as that peripheral surveillance be carried out in the sectors Silversmiths, San Angel, Alps y Santa Fewhich make up the demarcation, in order to deter and prevent incidents during this back-to-school period.

The mayor also implemented additional actions for the start of the new school year, such as mobile patrols in schools, ground patrols, and the distribution of informational flyers for contact with authorities.
In the Álvaro Obregón municipality there is a record of 700 educational institutionsfor which a total of 12 thousand 400 codes for schools, thus reaffirming the commitment to guarantee the safety of students.
It should be noted that in order to promote healthy coexistence and prevent the consumption of prohibited substances, the mayor’s office implemented 472 talks on self-care and preventionwhich have had a positive impact on the student community.
