Opinion of 6 Liberation Political Party leaders in Rajiv’s murder case

by time news

CHENNAI: Political party leaders have commented on the release of 6 people in Rajiv’s murder case. Annamalai (President of the Tamil Nadu): We want to make it clear to the people that the released criminals are not released because they are innocent. When the Supreme Court passed these judgments, the hypocrisy shown by the Congress party is astounding.

While senior Congress leaders half-heartedly condemned the release of the six from jail, their real leadership and his children had said in the past through letters and direct meetings that they had forgiven the convicts and had no objection to their release. For the Congress party, electoral victories in Tamil Nadu have become more important than national unity.

Ramdas (Founder of Bamaka): The Supreme Court has acquitted 6 people including Nalini. This judgment is gratifying. The reason for many of the problems is that there is no time limit for the governors to decide on the decisions of the cabinet. A deadline should be fixed for the governors to take a decision on the recommendation and resolution of the cabinet to change this status.

Vijayakanth (DMK leader): After Perariwalan, Supreme Court has acquitted 6 people including Nalini. The release of 6 people, including Nalini, who had been in prison for more than 30 years, was delayed and their release is welcome. Vaiko (MDMK General Secretary): Supreme Court verdict is welcome. In his judgment, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court had said that the Tamil Nadu government can release all the seven. There is no need to consult the Union Government on this issue. But till now the previous governor and the current governor have been running the fraudulent drama that they consulted the union government and the union government was blocking it. The fact that the Supreme Court has put an end to this and has already freed Perariwalan and now the other six persons is gratifying to establish that justice will prevail.

K. Balakrishnan (Marxist Communist State Secretary): We would like to point out that the Supreme Court confirmed the rights of the state government in the release of 6 persons including Nalini and taught a proper lesson to the Governor and the Union Government.

Mutharasan (Communist State Secretary of India): On the basis of the resolution passed by the Legislative Council and the letters of the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Governor and the Union Government, who are constitutionally empowered, have failed to take appropriate action and release them in time. We welcome that the Supreme Court has acquitted the six people including Nalini in the ensuing legal struggle.

GK Vasan (Thamaka President): The Supreme Court has acquitted the accused in the Rajiv murder case. Regardless of the basis of the verdict, it comes as a shocking verdict to the families of the victims of the murder. Especially the status of the emancipated. The mood of the victim’s and deceased’s family is different. Similarly, AAMUK General Secretary T.D.V.Thinakaran, T.K. Leaders including Chairman Veeramani have also expressed their opinion.
