by time news

About two months ago, Oppo announced the Reno 8 series in its Chinese version, which included the first device on the market with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. The company chose not to launch this model globally, with the two models that will be marketed outside China coming with processors Made by MediaTek.

The more advanced and expensive of the two, the Reno8 Pro, is roughly equivalent to the Chinese Reno 8 Pro Plus model. It comes with the Dimensity 8100-Max chipset, alongside a dedicated processor called MariSillicon X dedicated to image processing and is expected to dramatically improve photo quality. The working memory is 8 or 12 GB, with 256 GB for file storage.

The Reno 8 Pro screen is a 6.7-inch AMOLED, with a resolution of 1080X2412 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The camera is based on a main camera with a Sony sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels, a wide lens with an 8 megapixel sensor, and a macro camera (2 megapixels). In front is a single sensor with a resolution of 32 megapixels.

The second model, the Reno 8, comes with the Dimensity 1300 chipset, with 8GB of working memory and 256GB of file storage. The screen is slightly smaller, 6.4 inches, and settles for a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Other than that, the shooting range of the two devices is the same, as is the battery capacity of 4,500 mAh, and the impressive maximum charging rate – up to 80 watts. Both also come with the same operating system: Android 12, with the ColorOS 12.1 interface.

The price of the Reno8 Pro model starts at $ 570, while the Reno8 is slightly cheaper and starts at $ 360. They are also expected to arrive in Israel when the launch date is announced later.
