Opo has announced the Reno8 series

Oppo has officially announced the Reno8 series, which features three quite different devices from each other. The senior model in the series, the Reno 8 Pro Plus, comes with a 6.7-inch OLED display and a 120 Hz cloud speed, a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max processor alongside 12 GB of working memory and 256 GB of file storage. Opo claims that the edges around the screen are the thinnest in Reno models to date.

The camera system includes a main camera with a 50-megapixel Sony sensor, a camera with a wide lens and an 8-megapixel sensor and a macro sensor. Opo’s MariSolicon X NPU chip should ensure excellent photo quality thanks to artificial intelligence-based noise cleaning. On the front, the device is equipped with a selfie camera with a 32-megapixel sensor and auto-focus. Also in the specification: a battery with a capacity of 4,500 mAh, and support for fast charging with a power of up to 80 watts. The price in China stands at $ 550 and up.

The Reno8 Pro is actually the first on the market with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, Qualcomm’s new processor for mid-range devices. It comes with the same rear photo array as the Plus model, but the screen is slightly smaller: 6.62 inches. The battery also comes in the same size, including 80-watt charging support. The base price is $ 450.

Finally there is also the most basic and cheapest Reno8 of them all. Here you get a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and the chipset is Dimensity 1300. The rear camera maintains the main sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels, but next to it a monochrome sensor and a macro sensor are installed – without a camera with a wide lens. The rest of the specification is the same. Here the price starts at about $ 370.

All devices are expected to hit the Chinese market on June 1, so far with no global marketing plans.
