The goal of the program is to reach a proof of feasibility (POC) within six months. The companies that will be selected will receive a grant of approximately 50 thousand dollars each and technical support from the various R&D units of Samsung and will build a pilot that will show how their technology can be integrated into Samsung Mobile products. Companies with innovative and mature technologies in a variety of fields are invited to participate in the program – camera, artificial intelligence applications in the device, metaverse/augmented reality systems, sensors, a variety of folding applications, technologies for wearable devices, environment and sustainability and more.

Lior Yekothiali, director of Open Innovation at Samsung Research Israel, explains that “one of the challenges of startup and high-tech companies is to carry out programming tests for the technology and products or service they are developing. The SMA program is an excellent opportunity for participating companies to present their innovative technologies to Samsung’s open innovation managers and R&D department. The funding in the program and the work with the laboratories in Korea allow the companies to adapt their existing product and technology in order to integrate the products into Samsung products and present innovative results.”
