Naval Adviser Brigadier General (Retd.) M Sakhawat Hossain in the exchange meeting at the office of BIWTC.
Brigadier General (Retd.) M Sakhawat Hossain, Adviser to the Ministry of Shipping, said that the activities of BIWTC should be implemented proactively. BIWTC has to cut costs in all its activities. Duty must be performed with transparency and devotion. The opportunity gained in exchange of the blood of the students should be utilized. Any irregularities should be removed.
He said these things in an exchange meeting at the head office of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) in the capital on Wednesday (September 4) afternoon.
Before this, the Naval Adviser held a meeting with the officers and employees in the conference room of BIWTC. The chairman of BIWTC Dr. KM Motiur Rahman presented the overall activities, problems and future plans of BIWTC.
Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping Sanjay Kumar Banik, Director and General Manager of BIWTC, concerned department heads and unit heads were present in the meeting.
