jpnn.com – JAKARTA – Bobby Afif Nasution spoke out in response to the Golkar Party’s move to appoint Asahan Regent Surya as the deputy governor candidate who will accompany him in the 2024 North Sumatra Pilkada.
Bobby assessed that the Golkar Party’s move was a bright spot for him to advance in the North Sumatra Pilkada.
“The appointment of Mr. Surya is a bright spot after the names that have emerged so far,” said Bobby after the Golkar Party’s technical guidance in Medan, Monday (15/7).
According to the Mayor of Medan, appointing Surya as his running mate was the best choice.
Surya is known to have received approval from the General Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto and has been agreed to by the Chairman of the North Sumatra Golkar DPD Musa Rajekshah.
“In accordance with the direction of the General Chairperson and the Chairperson of the North Sumatra DPD, the person accompanying him is confirmed to be a Golkar Party cadre. The figure nominated by the Golkar Party is the best cadre because we know that Golkar Party cadres are extraordinary,” he said.
With the appointment of Surya as his running mate proposed by the Golkar Party, Bobby Nasution is now just waiting for the follow-up from the party with the banyan tree symbol, to be decided together with the supporting parties in the coalition.
“Of course, I personally and the Gerindra Party are waiting for the continuation,” he said.
The North Sumatra Golkar Party DPD announced that Asahan Regent Surya would be Bobby Nasution’s running mate for the 2024 North Sumatra Regional Election.
Bobby said that the possibility that he would run in the North Sumatra gubernatorial election with the Asahan Regent was a bright spot.
