Chennai: The deadline for submission of suggestions and objections has been extended to the three rules framed by the Government of Tamil Nadu on the new labor legislation of the Central Government.
Government of Tamil Nadu, Wage Bill Rules – 2022; Draft Rules for Occupational Relations Rules – 2022, Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Rules – 2022, published in the Gazette of Tamil Nadu, Apr. 11. On these, the public, trade unions and employers were given 45 days to facilitate their objections and suggestions.
The unions, employers and those involved appealed for more time. Accepting it, the government has extended the deadline for submitting comments to the Commissioner of Labor, Director of Occupational Safety and Health, to July 15.
