Colombo: Opposition parties have demanded a week’s resignation of Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa. Otherwise Rajapaksa has warned that a no-confidence motion will be brought against the government.

Unable to cope with rising prices and shortages of essential commodities, people across the country have been fighting for the past 18 days for the resignation of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
