Chennai,

Former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam said in a statement:-

As the corona virus has started to increase slightly in Tamilnadu, the “blue” type of viral fever is spreading, and the number of people coming to hospitals is increasing day by day due to this fever, especially among children, and due to this, the hospitals are overflowing. There are reports that more than a hundred people have been admitted.

In order to prevent the spread of “blue” fever, doctors advise that people with the flu or their family members should stay away from the outdoors and avoid eating out.

On the advice of doctors, students studying from 1st to 8th standard in Puducherry have been given a holiday, even though the government has requested them not to come to schools if they have fever, parents say that students are being asked to come to schools citing exams.

In this situation where school-going children are more affected by “blue” fever, create awareness among people; To prevent this, the Tamil Nadu government should immediately provide the necessary medicines to the affected people, close the schools, especially the primary schools, and postpone the examinations for a while until this fever is brought under control.

Therefore, the Chief Minister should immediately intervene and take necessary measures to prevent the spread of “blue” fever and to allow schools to be closed for a short period of time as ‘painting can only be done on the wall’.

This is what he said.
