Kevin Kelly, one of the founders of Wired magazine, claims that the thought that there is nothing we can do about humanity’s great challenges is not anchored in either facts or history. In his talk on the TED stage, optimism has so far been the bridge through which the human race has overcome the great obstacles of every era. “Anything big and difficult required a strong sense of optimism,” says editor and author Kevin Kelly, who believes we have a moral obligation to be optimistic.
