Or Yehuda is reeling from a recent failed assassination attempt that has ignited an escalating wave of violence in the city. The incident occurred when a hired killer targeted criminal Yehoshua Gibto, who is closely associated with the notorious brothers Shum and Dean Xantini, as well as the head of a criminal organization, Eran Haya. The hired killer fired at least two shots at Gibto, but miraculously, he managed to dodge the bullets at the last moment and escape unharmed.
However, an innocent bystander, a 66-year-old man, was not as fortunate. One of the bullets struck him, causing slight injuries. He was swiftly transported to Sheba Tel Hashomer hospital for medical treatment in an MDA intensive care vehicle.
The brazen attack prompted a rapid response from police forces in the Dan area, who are now diligently working to apprehend the escaped assassin and unravel the motive behind the foiled assassination attempt. Meanwhile, Gibto, who disappeared in a matter of seconds from the crime scene, remains a person of interest to the authorities as they seek to determine the underlying conflict and any potential suspects involved.
Insiders familiar with the situation claim that Gibto’s survival was purely a stroke of luck. “If it was a professional assassin, Gibto would be six feet under,” said a criminal involved in the case. “He was fortunate that an inexperienced young criminal missed his shots.”
