The Civil Protection of the Campania Region has issued a notice of weather alert for rain and strong thunderstorms valid from 9pm today, Thursday 2 November, until 9pm tomorrow, Friday 3 November, throughout the entire regional territory.
The alert, regarding the hydrogeological risk, is at the following level:
Orange on zones 1, 2,3 (Piana Campana, Naples, Islands, Vesuvian Area, Alto Volturno and Matese, Sorrento-Amalfi Coast, Sarno Mountains and Picentini Mountains)
Giallo on the rest of the region.
Throughout the region, regardless of the area, there is also an alert for very strong winds with gusts and very rough seas along exposed coasts.
Thunderstorms, even of strong intensity, will give rise to a widespread hydrogeological risk and to a hydraulic risk, with possible landslides, slope instability, rapid mud flows, rock falls, flooding, flooding, rise in the hydrometric levels of watercourses with flooding phenomena in neighboring areas, superficial flow of rainwater in the streets and involvement of depressed urban areas.
