The Health Services Department has issued instructions to take strict legal action against those involved in medical negligence. On Sunday (August 18), the Health Care Department issued instructions in this regard.

In the anti-discrimination student movement, treatment of the injured, treatment of admitted patients, unexpected delay in providing services and despite the announcement that the government will bear all the expenses of the injured, there is news that National Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute (NITOR) Dhaka is receiving money against services. All concerned have been asked to refrain from this activity.

The directive also says that representatives of drug companies or dealers of various companies will not be allowed to enter the hospital. Every doctor has to follow the patient seeing schedule properly. No visitors will be allowed inside the hospital and in the patient’s room except during the appointment.

Strict legal action will be taken against those concerned if they fail to comply with this order, the directive has also said. This directive will be applicable to all hospitals in the country.
