Law Minister Anisul Haque has ordered to bring forward the hearing of the quota reform case. The Minister said that the Attorney General has already been instructed in this regard.
Law Minister Anisul Haque gave this information in a press conference on Thursday (July 18).
The minister said, I have instructed the Attorney General of Bangladesh to bring forward the hearing date of the case in the court next Sunday (July 21).
The Law Minister said, ‘Prime Minister has ordered to take measures to bring forward the hearing of the case in the Supreme Court on August 7. I have instructed the Attorney General to apply to the High Court and try to bring forward the hearing.
Six people were killed in clashes in different parts of the country last Tuesday during the students’ movement. In this regard, the Law Minister said that a judicial investigation committee has been formed with High Court Justice Khondkar Diliruzzaman.
On the other hand, August 7 is scheduled for hearing in the Appellate Division regarding the quota. The law minister said that the government side will apply to the court next Sunday to bring forward the time of hearing.
