‘The Pizza Conversation’ – Israeli version. A resident of the Golan Heights called the Israel Police Hotline 100 late last night to order pizza. But in her voice, the caller realized that this was not a harassment call or an attempt at a prank, but a conversation out of fear and distress, and in doing so she managed to bring about a happy ending, as published in Israel today.

Only recently, dozens of people in Israel shared on Facebook and in many groups a post in which the Israeli version of a case from the United States appeared that a distressed woman called the 911 emergency center and pretended to order pizza, but the tone and manner she phrased made the center realize it was a diversion.

And here in Israel, the woman read the same posts that encouraged him to contact the help centers in case of violence and decided to act in a similar way and then called the police. The caller sent a mobile phone and her partner, the 38-year-old, was arrested by police on suspicion of assault and his detention was even extended by more than a week.

The conversation went as follows: “Hello,” the Golan resident opened the conversation with the police center. “Hello ma’am. You called the police, is everything okay?”, The caller replied when there was a tense silence in the conversation. “Hello, did you call the police, is everything okay?”, The caller confirmed again. The woman replied, “Yes, everything is fine. I ordered a pizza and it did not arrive.” The caller answered: “When did you order?”. The woman replied, “Everything is fine.”

It should be noted that the caller asked again what the woman’s condition was and was answered in the affirmative. The complaining woman was then asked to name her and provide details but the call was immediately cut off. Following this, the operator acted quickly and called a police car to the scene.
