Hello BF and thank you for your compliments! It was often said, at the beginning, that Orelsan was “The French Eminem”. A somewhat easy comparison, because he was white, didn’t come from the ghetto and didn’t talk about gang wars and problems with the police. Since his debut, I have compared him to a British rapper called The Streets, aka Mike Skinner. A little white-faced Englishman from the suburbs who rapped about his daily life, without being smart with real melancholy. For me there is a connection with Orelsan. If you don’t know him, I recommend his first album “Original Pirate Material”, a masterpiece for me, released in 2002. And Orel is a big fan of The Streets which is not very surprising.
