Mona ROŽDESTVENSKYTĖ HARTMANN / organ / Lithuania-Germany

Mona Rozhdestvenskytė started studying at the MA Balakirev Art School in the piano class at the age of six, where she has been since 2002. he also started studying in the organ class. in 2012 graduated from MA Balakirev School of Arts with honors in both classes. in 2019 successfully completed her bachelor’s and master’s studies – majoring in church music and organ solo class at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold in Germany (Hochschule für Musik Detmold, organ taught by Prof. Martin Sander). in 2023 she graduated with honors from the post-graduate course in organ prof. In Martin Schmeding’s class at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theater in Leipzig.

Mona Roždestvenskytė studied in the master courses of professors: Olivier Latry, Ben van Oosten, Bine Bryndorf, Guy Bovet, Wolfgang Zerer, Arvid Gast and Jaroslav Tuma, Hans-Ola Ericsson, Michael Radulescu, successfully participated in organ competitions.
The most important achievements: 2014 3rd place in the International Petr Eben organ competition in Opava (Czech Republic), 2015. 1st place in the International MK Čiurlionis pianist and organist competition in Vilnius, 2016. 3rd place in the International Bach Prize Organ Competition in Wiesbaden (Germany), 1st place in the International Northern Ireland Organ Competition in Armagh (Northern Ireland) and 1st place in the International Fugato Festival Bad-Homburg vd Höhe (Germany), 2018. III place in the International Organ Competition in St. Maurice (Switzerland), 2019 1st place at the International Organ Competition Korschenbroich (Germany), 3rd place at the International Organ Competition Wuppertal (Germany), special prize at the International Rheinberger Organ Competition Vaduz (Liechtenstein), 2021. prize for the best performance in the international St. Albans competition (England) and 2023. 2nd place at the International Bach Competition for organists in Boston (USA).

Mona Roždestvenskytė has performed in the most famous German churches such as Frauenkirche in Dresden, St. Lorenz in Nuremberg, Paderborn and Hildesheim Cathedrals, Salzburg Mozarteum and Cathedral, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Vienna Main Radio Station Hall, Switzerland, Riga Cathedral, International Organ Festival in Estonia, Vilnius Cathedral, Saint Casimir Church in Vilnius during the Christopher Festival and other Lithuanian cities, Westminster Abbey in London and in other English churches, St. Thomas Church on 5th Avenue in New York, Spain, Italy, Poland and other countries.

From 2015-2017 she was a Cusanuswerk Fellow.

Mona Roždestvenskytė is a member of the Lithuanian Organists’ Association.

From 2017 to 2021, she worked as the main organist and cantor in Bad Driburg (Germany) and from 2021 to 2023 as the regional cantor in the main Catholic church of St. Johann in Bremen (Germany). Currently, she is responsible for the music of the diocesan church in Linz (Austria) and teaches the organ specialty at the Higher School of Church Music in Herford (Germany).
