Planetologists analyzed data obtained by the Juno interplanetary station and came to the conclusion that on the surface of Jupiter’s largest satellite, Ganymede, there are hydrated salts and organic molecules.

It is assumed that the molecules appeared in subsurface reservoirs, where reactions involving water and rocks could take place.

The likelihood that Ganymede is habitable is significantly lower than in the case of Jupiter’s other moon, Europa.
