More specifically, at the conclusion of the process envisaged by the founding law, the appointments of the new Board of Directors of the National Science and Technology Foundation were formalized on Tuesday 15 June, which will remain in office until the approval of the 2024 budget. designated Lorenzo Ornaghi (Ministry of Culture) and Francesca Pasinelli (Ministry of University and Research in agreement with the Ministry of Education); the participants Supporters of the Foundation indicated as their representatives: Antonio Calbi (Lombardy Region) Paola Dubini (Municipality of Milan), Gianfelice Rocca (Milan Chamber of Commerce). The Foundation’s Board of Directors therefore appointed the President and Vice-President.
The Board of Auditors remains in office chaired by Luigi Puddu and composed by Anna Maria Fellegara and Rita Bontempo. The new Board of Directors together with the Director General of the Foundation, Fiorenzo Marco Galli, sent thanks in a note to the outgoing board of directors and in particular express gratitude to the President Giuliano Urbani.
Born in Villasanta (Monza and Brianza) in 1948, after graduating in Political Science at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Ornaghi taught Political Science and History of Political Doctrines at the same University. Rector of the Catholic University from 2002 to 2012, he was Minister for Cultural Heritage and Activities from November 2011 to April 2013. Currently President of the Congregation of Conservators of the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana and, from 2020, member of the Board of Directors of the Piccolo Teatro Foundation of Milan Theater of Europe; also Honorary President of the High School of Economics and International Relations. First President of the Onlus Agency (2001-2006), member of the Board of Directors of the Irccs Polyclinic Foundation of Milan (2005-2009) and of the Board of Directors of Cariparma-Crdit Agricole (2013-2016). In 2006 he received the Ambrogino d’oro, as a Meritorious citizen of the City of Milan and since 2017 Knight of the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
Paola Dubini born in Novara in 1963. She graduated in Business Economics from the Bocconi University in Milan and today holds the position of Professor of Business Economics at the same University. Between 2009 and 2013 she was director of the Ask (Art Science Knowledge) research center and from 2010 to 2016 director of the degree course in Economics for Arts, Culture, Communication at Bocconi University; he collaborated for several years with the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy of the University of Milan. From 2021 president of the board of directors of the CRT Foundation / Art Theater; from 2020 he sits on the board of directors, the control, risk and sustainability committee of Cir; from 2019 in the Siae Management Board; from 2018 on the Board of Directors of the Arnoldo and Alberto Mondadori Foundation and Egea Spa; since 2016, councilor of Palazzo Ducale in Mantua. she was a member of the Technical Scientific Committee of the Ministry of Education, University and Research (2014 – 2017) and of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (2015-2018).
