CHENNAI: Jewelery gold prices have soared by Rs 720 per sawan at an all-time high.

A Sawaran 22 carat gold retails for Rs 45,520. Up by Rs 90 per gram, gold is selling at Rs 5,690 per gram.

The day before yesterday, the price of gold was Rs.200 lower, but yesterday it rose by Rs.500. Today, it saw a rise of Rs.720, causing shock among gold buyers.

Silver status

The price of silver rose by Rs 2.90 to Rs 80.70 per gram.
