The Orthodox Church has appointed a commission of inquiry into the Vadakancherry bus accident. Paulus Koshi Mavelikkara (retd. RTO) appointed an inquiry commission to carry out a detailed investigation and submit a report. The report should be submitted on October 17 (Orthodox sabha appoints inquiry commission).

Meanwhile, the bus owner Arun was arrested in the Vadakancheri bus accident. The owner was arrested on charges of incitement. The investigation revealed that Jomon violated the speed limit 19 times in three months. The owner was also arrested in this situation. More people are being questioned in the incident.

The arrest of tourist bus driver Jomon was also recorded earlier. Jomon, who escaped after the accident, was caught yesterday from the Kollam dump while traveling to Thiruvananthapuram. The police revealed that Jomon had been injured when he was caught and that he had crossed from Palakkad in a Swift car. 2 people who were with him were arrested.

It was the phone-centric investigation that trapped Jomon. Jomon says that the KSRTC bus suddenly braked and was hit from behind. The explanation is that he did not fall asleep while driving and lost control of the tourist bus due to sudden braking by KSRTC. He says that he has been working as a driver for a long time and there is no mistake on his part.

In the Vadakancheri road accident, KSRTC stated in the High Court that the over speeding of the tourist bus was the cause of the accident. This has been informed in the report submitted following the direction of the High Court. Justice Devan Ramachandran said that the speed limit for vehicles should be tightened and the situation in which children lost their lives is very serious.

The central government has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the families of those who died in the accident. Fifty thousand rupees will be given as compensation to those injured in the accident.

Around 50 injured people were admitted to Thrissur Medical College, Alathur Taluk Hospital, Nenmara Avitis Hospital and Palakkad District Hospital.
